We got a pool from Payne Pool a little over a year ago. We went with a gunite salt water pool. I should have written this review then. They did a wonderful job with what we requested. They extended our patio at a fraction of the price of what other's were quoting us. My only issue is that I wasn't too impressed by their "pool school" they held for us right after the construction. I had no manuals that were left behind or anything to reference. It was A LOT of information especially for people that have never owned a pool before. However, I will say that any time I have had a question they kindly answered me and always fulfilled my requested. I recently had Jonathan come by and do a quick "pool school" session with me. He was kind and patient and shared valuable information I didn't receive the first time.

Unbelievably awesome! Less than 10 weeks from no hole in the ground to my salt water and heated pool is complete and beautiful! Awesome owners, project managers, and office manager who helped me design and show tiles and mosaic options for me to choose! I’ll be teaching Swim Life Water Survival lessons starting in April so Payne Pool Professionals kept to their schedule to get my pool complete in time for me to start teaching!

What Should You Know Before Building a Pool on the Gulf Coast?

A successful pool project begins well before excavation. Your property, jurisdiction, pool type, site access, design, materials, equipment, and overall backyard scope can all affect the project. Understanding those factors early can help you make better decisions before construction begins.

Pool Cost

How Much Does a Pool Cost on the Gulf Coast?

There isn't one useful price that applies to every swimming pool.

The most useful estimate begins with your actual property and the pool you want to build.

Pool type, size, site conditions, and the features you select all shape the final number. A short conversation with our Gulf Coast team is the fastest way to turn a general range into an estimate that actually fits your backyard.

How Long Does Pool Construction Take?

Construction timelines vary based on pool type, project complexity, permitting, weather, inspections, site conditions, material availability, and the overall scope of the project. Your Payne Pool Professionals Gulf Coast team can provide a more realistic project-specific expectation once the design and property requirements are understood.

Does Pool Construction Require a Permit?

Swimming pool construction generally requires applicable permits and inspections. Requirements vary by jurisdiction, which is one reason the specific location of your property matters when planning a pool project. Payne Pool Professionals' team coordinates applicable project requirements as part of the construction process.

Which Pool Type Is Best for a Gulf Coast Home?

There isn't one pool type that's automatically right for every homeowner. Gunite provides extensive customization, fiberglass offers a professionally manufactured shell with a smooth surface, and vinyl liner construction provides another combination of flexibility and a smooth swimming surface where offered. The right choice depends on your property, priorities, features, budget, and long-term expectations.
