About Payne Pool Professionals

The Story Behind Payne Pool Professionals

Our Roots

From Gulf Coast Roots to Backyards Across Florida

Payne Pool Professionals was founded in Gulf Breeze, Florida, in 2016 with a straightforward goal: give homeowners a friendlier, more professional pool-building experience.

What began on the Gulf Coast has grown into a regional pool company serving homeowners and commercial clients throughout Northwest Florida, the Alabama Gulf Coast, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.

The company has grown, but the purpose behind it remains the same.

Design thoughtfully. Build with care. Communicate clearly. Create a swimming pool that feels like it belongs with the home, property, and people who will enjoy it.

Our Beginning

A Pool Company Built Around the Customer Experience

Building a swimming pool is a significant investment and a major transformation of someone's property.

Payne Pool Professionals was created around the belief that the experience should feel as carefully planned as the finished pool.

That means listening before designing, helping homeowners understand their options, setting clear expectations, and guiding each project through design, selections, planning, permitting, and construction.

Since opening in Gulf Breeze in 2016, Payne Pool Professionals has helped hundreds of residential and commercial customers bring their pool and outdoor-living ideas to life.

Every project is different, but the objective remains consistent: deliver professional service and build a pool the customer will be proud to own.

Local Teams. Shared Experience. One Standard.

Payne Pool Professionals' story began on the Gulf Coast, but it did not stay in one place.

As the company grew, Payne Pool Professionals expanded into Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa. Today, four regional teams bring local market experience together with the resources, design capabilities, and construction knowledge of a larger Florida pool builder.

What We Build

More Ways to Create the Right Pool

A swimming pool should be designed around the property and the people who will use it, not forced into a single predetermined formula.

Payne Pool Professionals offers several pool-construction and improvement options across its service areas. Availability varies by market and individual project.

Custom Gunite Pools

Gunite provides extensive design flexibility for homeowners who want a pool created specifically for their backyard. Custom shapes, integrated spas, tanning ledges, benches, water features, lighting, and premium interior finishes can all become part of the design.

Fiberglass Pools

Fiberglass pools combine professionally manufactured shells with a smooth finished surface and a more streamlined installation approach. Payne Pool Professionals installs Latham fiberglass pools in a range of shapes, sizes, depths, colors, and configurations.

Vinyl Liner Pools

In markets where they are offered, vinyl liner pools provide another inground option with a smooth swimming surface and a variety of available shapes, colors, and liner patterns. Vinyl liner pools are not offered by Payne Pool Professionals' Tampa operation.

Pool Remodeling

An existing pool can be transformed with a new interior finish, waterline tile, coping, decking, lighting, equipment, or other carefully planned improvements.

Pool Equipment

Modern pumps, filters, heaters, lighting, sanitization systems, and automation can improve how a pool performs and how easily it can be managed.

Designing the Complete Backyard

The Pool Is Only the Beginning

A well-designed pool is not an isolated object in the yard. It should feel connected to the home and surrounding outdoor space.

Payne Pool Professionals' design process considers how the pool relates to patios, entertaining areas, spas, water features, landscaping, views, and the way people will move through the backyard.

Three-dimensional pool design helps homeowners visualize major elements before construction begins. It also creates an opportunity to refine the layout, features, and material selections while the project is still in the design stage.

The details complete the experience. Interior pool finishes influence water color and texture. Tile introduces color and character. Coping frames the pool. Decking connects the water to the rest of the backyard. Exterior materials help spas, raised walls, and water features become part of a cohesive design.

What Guides Our Work

The Principles Behind Every Project

Listen Before Designing

The best pool begins with understanding the property, priorities, budget considerations, and the way the customer wants to use the finished space.

Design With Purpose

Every shape, feature, material, and equipment selection should contribute to how the pool looks, functions, or feels.

Communicate Clearly

Customers should understand the major phases of their project and know where to turn when they have questions.

Build for the Property

A design must account for the home, backyard, access, site conditions, jurisdiction, and other practical construction considerations.

Bring Local Experience

Each location serves a distinct market. Local knowledge helps the team navigate the conditions and requirements that can influence a pool project.

Keep Improving

Growth creates an opportunity to share experience, refine processes, and bring stronger resources to customers across every market.

Recognition

Growth Driven by the People We Serve

Payne Pool Professionals has been recognized more than once by the Inc. 5000 as one of America's fastest-growing private companies.

In 2021, Payne Pool Professionals ranked No. 478 overall and No. 15 within the construction industry. In 2023, the company returned to the Inc. 5000 at No. 646.

Those recognitions reflect a period of considerable growth, but growth itself is not the final measure of the company.

The more meaningful measure is whether Payne Pool Professionals continues providing customers with thoughtful designs, professional guidance, quality construction, and a finished backyard they are excited to use.
